1st floor assembled and lights are on!

It took what seemed like forever to paint the porch rails, with all those tiny little holes that I had to get into with a micro paint brush but, they are done, which allowed me to finally assemble the 1st floor.

For the interior lighting, I used canned lights which I have learned to love. The exterior lights are a bunch of 12v bi-pins which gave off a lot of light but, once installed, they barely give off a glow so, I'm brainstorming ways to add more lighting the the exterior.

There will be custom shelves made for the 1st and 2nd floors which will house a good number of candy jars, and chocolates so, the crown molding and baseboards are going to have to wait until after the shelves have been installed.

The house build, itself is a breeze but, the interior furnishings and goodies are all custom, and handmade which sets the completion time back quite a ways. As always, I wish it it finished already!!

On to the next floor's siding and windows!

Flooring the porch on the Abriana

I adore working on perfectly square dollhouses. It's an absolute rarity to find one so, when I do, I can play with flooring styles like this that present little challenges. I'll carry this pattern similarly on the interior as well.
